I am Jerry Saleeby, the instructor for this class. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BA in Political Science. I completed graduate at the University of Richmond and Hollins University. I am in my 35th year of teaching government at Franklin County High School. For the last ten years or so I have been teaching a dual enrolled class in this subject through Virginia Western. I look forward to "meeting" everyone.
ReplyDeleteHi all. My name is Michelle Hubbard. I have been at Western for 4 years. In that time I have managed to get my Associates in Early Child Development and get several classes done before I transfer to JMU to pursue my Master's in Special Ed Teaching. I am already working in my chosen field and I LOVE it!!!!!!!!! I had Mr. Saleeby last semester and he is GREAT. This is going to be a good class.

I currently live in Newport News due to a job change and when I am not studying or working, I enjoy spending time with family, cooking and taking photos of the waters around me.

ReplyDeleteIm Jonathan Kelly,Its my first year at VWCC but I attended Marshall University last year. I loved it yet due to out-of-state tuition costs I had to come back to Virginia. Im applying to Virginia Tech, Radford, & CofC. Im a business major & I want to persue business law. I love to travel, roadtrips are a must. I snowboard like crazy during the season and I also like to cook a lot. Ive heard good things about this class, lets see it!
My name is Angel Stinnett. This is my second semester at VWCC. This is also the third time I've been in school,and the second time I've changed my degree plans. I am in the IT department this time around and really enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteMy interests include current affairs and history. I am a conservative (as some of you already have guessed) and would like to be involved in politics some how. I don't like the way things have been going but know that in order to have a positive effect going forward, I have to know from whence we came. I am looking forward to this semester and learning all I can.
My name is Jennifer Hubbell. This is my first semester at Western and I am taking this class along with English 111 as dual-enrollment classes during my senior year of high school. I enjoy reading, yoga, and volunteering. I have always been interested in the medical field so I would like to get my degree in Pediatric Occupational Therapy. I am excited about taking this class and learning as much as I can about our government.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Jimmy Fisher. I've gone to VWCC off and on for several years.....a class here....a class there. Should finish up a Social Science degree this summer. I hope to transfer to Roanoke College full-time in the fall. I graduated from New Castle High School. My primary interests are church, family and football.
